Welcome to learning a language!
If you were 100% motivated all the time I would be a little worried and to be honest so should you! It’s not humanly possible to be passionate all the time! To have endless energy all the time! It just doesn’t work like that!
Learning a language takes work, time and effort. Having the energy to keep that up also takes time, work and effort. This is hard to do! But there are a few things you can do to help you keep going longer!
These are not hard things but you need to do them first!

First thing you can do - Set a goal!
Thats right setting a goal is the first and most important thing you can do! This should be your number one thing to do when you begin learning Japanese! This is more important than your textbooks, what class you take or even how you study Japanese! This out-numbers any other thing you can do, but it is sadly the number one thing most people put off.
Most language learners get stuck on which book to buy, which classes to attend or what will be the best method to study with. But all of these are nothing compared to setting a goal!
You have got to set goal, have a reason and a purpose to learning Japanese! Without this you will soon give up and it will forever just be a nice dream.
Second thing you can do - Take action!
You may be thinking these are not very important things, but please do not skip through these!
language learners spend more time dreaming than taking action! They dream about what it would be like living in Japan, eating yummy Japanese food, and talking with Japanese people.
These are all great things, dreaming is super important, but unless you take action on something, they will forever just be that, DREAMS!
Take action, set a goal and then break it down into small bite sized chunks and begin eating away at them!
You can do this! Why, because you can! I have a new book coming out that talks all about overcoming language staleness. This is such a fun book, but I want to make sure you get the best of the best, so hang on a bit longer. But, it is coming! The book is all written but its time to edit and then make it a bit more visual!
