Are you learning Japanese? Do you struggle with Kanji? If so you are not alone! When I was in year 7 or junior high I started learning Japanese. I was always terrible with the language. I did however love the language. That love is what has carried me on for over 25 years!
Kanji is perhaps one of the hardest things about learning Japanese.... right? NO! This is not true. It is the mindset that people have that is hard! Most people have an impossible mindset! That is they think it's hard, but in reality, it's not hard. It's just different! Anyone who has ever tried to study English will know that the English language is just as hard. Japanese is not hard it's just different. If you can change your mindset you can greatly increase your ability to learn Japanese.
The secret to learning Kanji is not to study it, but to play with it, make it visual and have fun. Don't stress if you don't know a character, look it up, pull it apart, play with it, make it visual and remember to relax. If you are in Japan and you are travelling around and you don't know a character, just ask someone, use a dictionary to look it up or there are also many apps now that will do the hard work for you.
There are also many online recourses that you can use. YouTube is one of them. Then it's up to you to use it. The more you use Japanese and Kanji the better you will get. You can also join groups on places like Facebook.
